A Jungle Expedition

    The Elementary had a "Jungle Expedition" on Friday, February 25, 2005. The students had a fabulous day. Each class spend half an hour with a teacher. Each teacher planned an activity for the students. Mrs. Standiford's room was board games. Mrs. Beverly and Mrs. McLaughlin had an obstacle course through the jungle, relay games, and parachute activities in the gym. Miss Morrison was in charge of crafts. The students made snakes, parrots, elephants, and tigers. Miss Rice did indoor games. The students played bingo, frog toss, and spent time with the class pet, and Miss Rice's dog. Mrs. Stout's room was full of singing and making music. Mrs. Davis showed a movie for the students. Mrs. Rush and Mrs. Suttle did the food competition. The students enjoyed a terrific menu. Then menu contained snake eggs, gator guts, dried ants, dried snake, live worms, jungle rain, monkey brains, crocodile teeth, and beetle wings. By the end of the day, the teacher were exhausted. The students had a blast and each student received a ration supply of candy for completing the "Jungle Expedition."
